Privacy Policy
We collect what you choose to send us, use it for the reason you sent it, and never sell it. The details are below.
Who we are
This policy explains what information MAP Global Inc. (Ministry Advocacy Partners) collects through www.mapglobal.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. MAP Global is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 82-2356754, based in Asheville, North Carolina.
When this policy says "we" or "us," it means MAP Global. When it says "you," it means anyone who visits the site, fills out one of our forms, or gives through our giving pages.
Information you give us
We only collect personal information when you choose to send it to us through a form. Here is what each form asks for and why.

Each form tells you what happens next when you send it. We use what you send for the purpose listed above and for keeping a record of our conversation with you.
The Partner Application
The Partner Application is only open to people we have already spoken with, and it is protected by a password we send after the initial call. Because partnership is a close working relationship, the application asks for more than our other forms:
- Contact details and home address, plus your date and place of birth, citizenship, gender, and marital status
- Details about your spouse and dependents, if you have them
- Your education, work history, skills, and any management experience
- Your anticipated budget, your support-raising plans, and any outstanding debts
- Your church involvement, your testimony, and your answers to questions about your faith
- Contact details for your references, such as your pastor and an employer
- A photo of yourself, and a resume if you choose to upload one
- Your electronic signature on MAP Global policies
We do not ask for your Social Security number or for health information in the online application.
While you work on the application, your answers are saved in your own browser so you do not lose your progress. When you submit it, the application is stored securely with our hosting provider and emailed to MAP Global staff for review. If you list references, please let them know we may contact them.
Giving
Online gifts are made through GivingFuel, our donation provider. When you give, you enter your payment details on GivingFuel pages, including the giving forms shown on our partner pages, and not into this website. GivingFuel's own privacy policy applies to the information you give them.
We receive the details we need to send your tax-deductible receipt and to keep the financial records a 501(c)(3) is required to keep, such as your name, contact information, and the amount and designation of your gift.
When you designate a gift to a Partner Ministry, we share your name, contact details, and gift amount with that partner so they can thank you.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used to run the site, keep it secure, and fix problems.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, such as which pages are visited, how visitors arrived, roughly where they are (city or region), and what device and browser they use. We also count when a form is sent or someone clicks through to give, so we know which pages are helping people take a next step. We do not send your name, email address, or messages to Google.
Google Analytics uses cookies to tell one visit from another. The Partner Application and our staff tools do not use Google Analytics. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. We do not use advertising or remarketing tools.
Cookies, browser storage, and embedded content
We do not use advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies as described in section 05. The Partner Application uses your browser's storage to save your draft on your device and to keep you signed in until you close the browser tab. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
Some pages include content from other services: our introduction video is hosted by Vimeo, giving forms come from GivingFuel, and the site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When these load, those services may receive your IP address and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We share it only in these situations:
- With MAP Global staff and board members who need it to respond to you or review your application.
- With service providers that run parts of the site for us, and only so they can do that work: Netlify (website hosting, form submissions, and application storage), Resend (sending email), GivingFuel (donations), and Google (site analytics, as described in section 05).
- When the law requires it, or when we need to protect the safety of a person or the rights of MAP Global.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us. Inquiries, contact messages, and Partner Applications that do not move forward are kept for two years and then deleted. When you unsubscribe from the Field Letter, we delete your details from our mailing list. Donation and financial records are kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices
- You can ask us to stop sending you the Field Letter or any other email at any time. Email contact@mapglobal.org and we will remove you from our mailing list and delete your details from it.
- You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email contact@mapglobal.org. We may need to keep some records, such as donation records, where the law requires it.
- You do not have to give us any information to read this website. Some things, such as receiving the guide or applying for partnership, need your contact details.
Security
This site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). The Partner Application is password protected. We limit access to submissions to the staff who need them. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us sensitive information that the forms do not ask for.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email contact@mapglobal.org and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the bottom.
