Far-Flung Healthcare

Connecting the most remote places on Earth with sustainable healthcare solutions

Far-Flung Healthcare started with a dilemma that sat heavy in Kristen Lee's heart after several short-term medical mission trips where it felt like the care she provided was a drop in the bucket.

How do you effectively deliver excellent healthcare to the most remote places in the world in a way that is sustainable and able to be replicated, AND do it cost effectively?  Short-term missions did not seem to be a good long-term answer-- no needed follow up nor care for chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.  Other healthcare options were few with many people forced to "hope for the best", try a traditional healer or travel great distances and spend significant money to obtain mediocre healthcare.

A God-dream with Divinely orchestrated connections to other ministries provided the solution.   Reproducible clinics that can be set up in a day, staffed by local medically trained personnel and use technology to bridge the physical distance to other providers.

This model has proven successful in Gulu, Uganda and Dr. Kristen is actively learning the process to establish more clinics with eventual dreams of serving other rural people around the globe.
